Ballet promotions: Ballet West has announced the promotion of Christiana Bennett to soloist for the 2003-04 season. She joins returning soloists Viktorija Jansone, Leslie Ann Larson, Kristin Hakala, René Daveluy, Tonia Stefiuk and Christopher Ruud.
Other promotions include Ross Bearden and Elye E. Olson from artist to demi-soloist and Sophia Priolo from first-year apprentice to second-year apprentice. New dancers joining Ballet West for the 2003-04 season include company artists Daniel Escudero from San Francisco Ballet, Aaron Orlowski from Nevada Ballet Theatre and Nicholas Scott from Norwegian National Ballet in Oslo.
Dancers who have left Ballet West include Breanne Breismeister, Steffanie Casperson, Noel Dupuis, Michael Romy Greer, Ashley Hubbard, Lindsay McElroy Master, Annemarie Phelan and Ashley Ruhl.
