Miss Zeisler said the school has since found new funding, new insurance and new direction with the help of Michael Kaiser, president of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, who developed a business restructuring of the school, pro bono.

Mr. Kaiser has an unequaled track record of rescuing troubled dance companies. Over the past decade or so, he has brought back from the brink of financial disaster the Kansas City Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and American Ballet Theatre.

For example, the CEO of Ayco Co., an Albany investment counselor, resigned from the board in May 2003 and set up the Herb Chesbrough Scholarship in the Arts at Siena College, funded by a $500,000 gift to the school.
-Times Union story on SPAC audit

Has anyone written a book about him yet? Actually, I might enjoy a compare & contrast study of the two men.

thanks.GIF I don't suppose the former is eligible for a Kennedy Center Award. A hero is exactly what he is. Viva Kaiser!

Is the Chesbrough Scholarship a form of penance, or just a tasty bit of irony?
