According to his website, Daniil has obtained his US visa and will be joining ABT's rehearsal period on Sept 29,2008.

Thank goodness! Ever since the Sept 11 attacks, the US govt has put some very nutty restrictions on the ability of foregin performers to gain entrance to the US.

All this is very nice but why isn't his name and photo listed under "soloists" on the ABT website? There is no information whatsoever about him.

I think probably because his contract does not begin till Oct. It seems that they would not put it up there till he is actually there and under contract. And also because ABT's website is always slow to put information up. They did put the press release up several months ago that he was joining.

Daniil's bio and baby-faced photo are now up on ABT.org.

So I watched the video of Daniil and his father battling it out in the studio. I thought the father looked like his brother and Daniil looked like Leonardo Dicaprio around the time he was on Growing Pains!

Daniil debuted with the Bolshoi yesterday. Does anyone have any information on what he danced and with whom? Any Russian newspaper articles documenting this? Anyone SEE it?
