I thought that there would be some kind of press release by now!

Does anyone know if it will take place this year?

I usually receive a press release by now, but I haven't. So I checked their website and there's no date for one.

Solomon and Nadia Tencer are not producing a Stars of the 21st Century Ballet Gala this February at Lincoln Center. The decision was made even before they were asked to produce the Gala in Europe at the usual February time, which they will be doing. It is a very costly venture to mount it in New York.

There is certainly a show in Bucharest this Saturday (February 21, 2009). The text on the site seems to imply that there'll be a show in Toronto too, but there's no date.

There will be no gala in Toronto this year.
