What is the likelihood of getting NYCB tickets at TKTS Friday 2/13 or Saturday 2/14 (evening)?
Opinions on which program is better?

Does TKTS carry City Ballet tickets?

That's what I'm asking.

I subscribe to various discounters, and I just ran a search on my whole mailbox. No discounts offered for NYCB. I've never seen it offered at TKTS, but that doesn't mean it's never happened.

I bought some there in 1988.

Good luck, Treefrog.

For the month of Feb: every Monday morning @ 10AM, the box office will be selling orch seats for the rest of that week for $25.00 (for specific seats). At least this is what a friend of my told me and she got the tickets.
If you like more tutu traditional ballets, then the Sat. evening is for you. If you like more typical Balanchine than Friday is for you. For me West Side Story seals the deal.
I hope this helps.

This is word of mouth, and personal experience, but there are many empty seats at NYCB these days, sad to say.

printscess, those $25 tickets are very hard to come by. Treefrog, if you go for those, visit (or have a friend do it, because I know you're in Chicago) the box office Monday morning. I've tried several times to get them by phone and I had a busy signal for two hours.

Are there long lines for those Monday morning tickets? I'd have to ask a friend to go. That's a great deal!
Last time we saw NYCB in NYC we saw West Side Story Suite. It was wonderful. I'm probably leaning toward Friday night.

The only NYCB discount program I know of is the 'School Theatre Ticket Program'. They offer the Orch. for $55. and the 4th ring for $15. I pick up the vouchers at my local "Y".
