I am in Canada right now, and today I paid a little visit to the bust of FDR near Parliament in Quebec (City), where it faces a bust of Churchill, and thanked him.

That's lovely, a poem really.

I wrote a couple of English friends today and thanked them for giving us independence, even though we had to force them to do it! Called them 'turkeys' for giving up so easily, but they're two of my best buddies, so I'm quite sure did even celebrate as I beseeched them to do.
