Does anyone know where Rachel Piskin went? I always loved watching her dance - she was beautiful and quite gracious. The lushness of her movements didn't come at the expense of her technique - I always noticed her in the corps. I missed her in the performances I saw this season, but didn't realize she was off the roster until someone mentioned it on one of the links here. I'm hoping I can see her as a soloist in another company. Does anyone know of her whereabouts?

Do you know if she was one of the 11 corps members whose contracts were terminated or did she leave for other reasons of her own volition?

Until there is official information -- interview, dancer's blog or website, newspaper or magazine article, etc. -- we won't know the breakdown.

It's important to keep in mind that City Ballet is reducing its roster of dancers by 11. Voluntary departures will, I assume, be figured into that net figure.

I was also really starting to notice Rachel's beautifully lush dancing. I will miss watching her and hope she goes on to something wonderful, whether dancing or not.
