Dead Russian Composers' Personality Test!

It's not like we have better things to do than poke around the Web all day....
pmeja
oh i've done this one! i'm tchaikovsky...
Manhattnik
By the way, if I were a Dead Russian Composer, I'd be --- Shostakovich.

Can't win 'em all, I guess.
Alexandra
I'm Shostakovich, too -- I think this is rigged (I'm really Tchaikovsky.)

Did anyone click all the vodka answers, just to see who that is?
Manhattnik
I'm sure I have better things to do than click on all the vodka answers just to discover that I would be Modest Mussorgsky.
Alexandra
:sigh: I was hoping for a natural vodka clicker, Manhattnik
Tancos
Stravinsky here. Close enough.
Mel Johnson
Well, at least I'm Prokofiev. What a surprise, I thought I was Cesar Cui.
BW
Because I really like to be sure of these sorts of tests and the fact that they go into my KGB dossier, I took it twice.

I am either Stravinksy or the real Pyotr Chaikovsky...you choose!

Lovebird
I'm Stravinsky!
choreo
I am Stravinsky too.
Thanks for the link, I will be forwarding it to all my creative friends!
Helena
I'm with Alexandra. It said I was Shostakovich, but I know I'm Tchaikovsky, so I cheated and did it a few more times, answering the questions just slightly differently. I still was Shostakovich twice, and Stravinsky once. It took four tries before it told me what I know to be true - I'm Tchaikovsky.
Jane Simpson
Another Shostakovitch!
Lolly
Prokofiev. Now I know why Romeo and Juliet sounded so familiar the first time!
Viviane
Hmm...I'm always ready for a game... I am Tchaikovsky ! Where is the elaborate psychological explanation for all this ? :-)
Richard Jones
Hello from Borodin! I tried going back over the "could be this, could be that" questions and changed the answers, one at a time. Borodin kept popping up, then Prokofiev twice, and Rimsky-Korsavov once. Well, Borodin was a chemist as well as a musician, so I guess I'm just as confused!
Melissa
I'm Sergei Rachmaninoff!
Henrik
Im also sergei, although my eyesight is blurred because of vodka
Roma
Hello from another Shostokovich And I wanted so much to be Stravinsky!
Giannina
Stravinsky. Love the part that I get more dissonant and bizzare as I age!

Giannina

I'm Aleksandr Borodin. Is anybody else him? I wanted to be Stravinsky too.... I like how complex his music is....
Victoria Leigh
I came out Stravinsky the first time, but with just a couple of little changes came out Rachmaninoff the second time! I prefer the second one
sarez
I came out a Stravinksy. Love the idea and his music!
Ed Waffle
This is Sergei Prokofyev from beyond the grave. You might have missed the fact that I died, since another Russian of some note (not a musician) shuffled off this mortal coil on the same damned day as did I.

Borodin here! I think I'll have to go back and peruse my CD collection and see if I can identify more with his works now that I know we are linked in some ways.
Juliet
I'm Tchaikovsky. I took it several times.

Somehow, I Just Knew This........
cargill
Well I am Rakmaninhoff (I can't even spell it!), which is hard to believe, because he snubbed Balanchine, and Balanchine didn't use his music. Obviously I should drink more vodka.
dirac
Shostakovich. I was afraid of this. Arrrggghh!

Thanks, Manhattnik.
Nanatchka
I can guarantee this test is bogus, because it said I am a "neat freak." I am not. I am The Mess Fairy. I would have given Stravinsky hives.
Manhattnik
Could be worse, could be Khachaturian.
NO7
Couldn't decide whether I should be another Rachmaninoff or Rimsky-Korsakov!
Anders
I'm Borodin... Funny, I haven't even heard my own stuff. Must be the vodka.
felursus
Igor, here - reporting from my water-logged grave in the Venetian lagoon. I guess I didn't drink enough vodka, but Gyorgi did dish out great zakouski. We had lots of fun banging out odd rhythms on the pots and pans as he cooked. It was the food that provided my inspiration, I guess, and not the drink....
Melissa
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if Glazunov, Balakiriev and Glinka were possible outcomes on the questionnaire?
Alexandra
I was secretly hoping to be Glazunov if I couldn't be Tchaikovsky, but alas Melissa, I don't believe any of the ghosts you mentioned have yet reported for duty.
LisaY
Prokofiev. Not happy about that given his (reportedly)unpleasant outburst at Balanchine. Manhattnik, did your web poking turn up any
"Dead European Composers' Personality Tests?" I'm sure I'd be Mozart. Flighty, Childlike, sure of my own genius even though those around me are doubtful, and probably won't be appreciated until I'm gone.
